    What’s Inside Your Counting Workbook

    Trace the Numbers

Your kiddo will get to trace numbers one through ten while counting nuts, bolts, screws, nails, and washers.

    Counting Picture Search

There are three pages of picture searches with circles to fill in when they count the right number of objects. They will also get to count all the nuts, bolts, screws, nails, and washers in a picture search and write the numbers themselves.

    Matching Numbers and Pictures

Next, they get to draw lines between matching numbers and pictures.

    Trace the Right Number

And finally, they get to practice tracing their numbers again when they pick out the right number next to each box of objects.

      Trade Skill Lesson

While your kiddo is learning to count, they also get to learn the difference between screws, nails, and bolts. This is a vital thing to know in the trade skill realm! Not sure of the difference yourself? Most people can easily distinguish a nail, but the difference between screws and bolts is a little trickier.

Screws have a pointed end and will (in most cases) create threads in whatever you screw them into. You can think of them like little drills.

Bolts have blunt ends because they don’t make their own threads. They need a hole to go through and a nut to secure them.

Nails will be almost entirely smooth with a pointed end. They work by wedging between wood fibers. If your homeschooler doesn’t know about friction yet, this is a good way to learn!
